Vessels & Masks; Ancient to Modern

In this class we will create beads and small sculptures. We’ll focus on using powders and frit to make vessels which look old and time-worn. We'll explore how to make an old design work with modern twists. Then we’ll focus on masks and develop our own interpretations in glass. We will also use dichroics and clear sculpting to create a glowing effect when the piece is acid etched. This class has an emphasis on sculpture, plus the use of materials which create effects from crusty to sparkly.
