Students will work with pre cut beveled glass shapes, copper foil, flux, solder and soldering irons as they develop the skills to take on different types of copper foil projects. These skills are the same ones used on more complex, larger work. This absolute beginners workshop is a perfect fit for kiln formers who want to use the copper foil method to join their fused creations.

Learn to capture your photos and artwork in keepsake charms that you will treasure forever. This workshop will teach you how to secure an image between glass and then encase it in a soldered metal frame. You will learn how to use a soldering iron with copper foil (a stained glass technique) to create your own pendants, charms and more. Beginning and intermediate techniques will be explored as we ad multiple levels and layers to make our work even more interesting. Special focus will be placed on polishing, patinas, and special effects.
