The Pearl-18 is packed with exciting features. The Pearl-18 top lifts away to give access to the shelf area so you can compose directly on the shelf. No need to balance or carry a heavy kiln shelf from your table to the kiln. With the Pearl-18, you never have to worry about trying to load the kiln withour distubing pieces of your design. Additionally, air pistons assist in lifting the top and you can place the Pearl on a table without an extra stand.

The elements in the top are mounted in pinless element grooves. Since the groove opening is narrower than the element coil, the elements stay in place without pins.

Glass must be fired on a ceramic shelf; never directly on the kiln firing chamber bottom. Paragon's durable cordierite shelves resist warpage and thermal shock. They are volume-stable. The Pearl-18 Furniture Kit is not included but, can be added to your kiln purchase.  It includes one (1) 17 x 17 shelf, four (4) 1"  x 1/2" square posts and a 1 lb. Bag of Glass Separator.

BULLSEYE EDITION: Upgraded12-key Sentury Controller, Wooden handle, spring latch and relay indicator light - Upgrading to the12-key controller has many advantages.  These features include a Stop/Back Key which goes back one step with each key press during programming which can be used to correct programming errors. An Add Time Key  which adds five minutes to a temperature hold with each key press during firing. And, it has a Program Safety Lock  for the program in active memory. which gives you peace of mind. Additionally, it has a Firing Cost  Calculator. Simply enter the cost of electricity and kiln amperage in Options. After the kiln fires to completion, press the 8 key for the cost of electricity to fire that load.
